One of the most critical pieces of planning for any Umrah trip is knowing how long the visa will take to arrive. Processing times are not fixed — they depend on the processing option you choose, the time of year, and whether your documents are submitted correctly the first time.
Standard Processing: 3–5 Business Days
Standard processing is the most popular option and suits most pilgrims who plan their trip at least 2 weeks in advance.
The 3–5 business day clock starts when:
- Your payment is confirmed
- Your documents have been reviewed and verified by the Nusuk Umrah team
- Your application has been formally submitted to the Saudi visa system
If your documents require corrections, the clock pauses until you resubmit. This is the most common reason applications take longer than expected.
Express Processing: 24–48 Hours
Express processing places your application at the front of the queue. It is recommended when:
- Your travel date is within 7–10 days
- You receive a last-minute booking opportunity
- You need the visa in hand before confirming other travel arrangements
Express processing costs ₹4,999 (compared to ₹2,999 for standard). It is available 7 days a week including weekends and public holidays.
When Does the Clock Actually Start?
Many applicants make the mistake of counting from when they submit the online form. The actual processing clock starts from when your application is submitted to the Saudi system, which happens only after:
- Payment is received and confirmed
- Our team has reviewed and approved your documents (this typically takes a few hours on business days)
- Any requested corrections have been made and re-verified
If you submit on Friday evening, document review typically begins the following Monday morning. Factor weekends and Indian public holidays into your planning.
Peak Season Processing Times
| Season | Standard Processing | Express Processing | |--------|--------------------|--------------------| | Regular | 3–5 business days | 24–48 hours | | Ramadan | 7–10 business days | 48–72 hours | | School holidays | 5–7 business days | 24–48 hours | | Dhul Qadah | 5–8 business days | 48–72 hours |
These are estimates. In severe peak periods, even express can occasionally run to 3 business days.
