This checklist is your final gate before submitting your Umrah visa application. Taking 10 minutes to go through every item now can save you days of delays later. Common application errors are entirely preventable.
Passport Verification
- My passport is valid for at least 6 months from my departure date (not application date)
- My passport has at least 2 completely blank pages (no stamps or markings)
- The passport is in good physical condition (no torn pages, no water damage)
- I have scanned the main information page (photo page) clearly — all text is readable
- The scan shows the full passport page including the machine-readable zone (two lines of characters at the bottom)
Photograph Verification
- Background is pure white — not cream, not grey, not any colour
- No shadows on the face or background
- Photo dimensions are 35mm × 45mm
- Photo was taken within the last 6 months
- My full face is visible — frontal view, no tilting
- I am not wearing glasses
- I am not wearing a non-religious head covering
- If wearing hijab: my face is fully visible from forehead to chin and ear to ear
- The digital file is JPG or PNG format and within the upload size limit
Name Matching — Critical Check
- My name on the application form exactly matches my passport
- My name on the airline ticket exactly matches my passport
- My name on the hotel booking exactly matches my passport
- My name on the vaccination certificate matches my passport
If there is any discrepancy in name spelling across documents, address it before applying. Even a missing middle name between documents can cause rejection.
Airline Ticket Verification
- The ticket is confirmed (not just a booking hold or "pending")
- The ticket shows both outbound (India to Saudi) and return (Saudi to India) flights
- Travel dates align with my intended visa validity window
- The ticket is in my name as it appears on my passport
Hotel Booking Verification
- The booking is for a hotel in Makkah (not only in Madinah)
- The booking shows my name
- The booking dates cover my planned stay in Makkah
- The booking is confirmed (not a wishlist or saved item)
Vaccination Certificate Verification
- The vaccine type says "ACWY" or "quadrivalent meningococcal"
- The certificate shows my name (matching my passport)
- The vaccination date is within the last 3 years
- The batch/lot number is shown
- The clinic stamp is clearly visible
- A healthcare provider's signature is present
Women: Additional Checks
- I have uploaded proof of my relationship with my mahram
- The relationship document clearly shows both my name and my mahram's name
- I have uploaded a copy of my mahram's passport
- (If over 45 travelling in a group): I have the signed and notarised NOC from my mahram
Children: Additional Checks
- Each child's birth certificate has been uploaded
- The birth certificate shows the child's full name and both parents' names
- I have uploaded the accompanying parent/guardian's passport copy
Final Submission Checks
- My email address on the application is correct and accessible (the e-visa comes here)
- My mobile number is correct (for OTP and status updates)
- I have selected the correct processing speed (standard or express)
- I understand the processing timeline and my travel date allows sufficient time
- I have reviewed the fee and understand it is the final all-inclusive amount
