Core Documents — Required for All Applicants
Every applicant, regardless of age or gender, must provide these five documents:
1. Valid Indian Passport
- Must have at least 6 months of validity from your departure date
- Must have at least 2 blank pages for immigration stamps
- The name on your passport must match exactly with your airline ticket and hotel booking
- Damaged or worn passports may be rejected at Saudi immigration — renew if in doubt
2. Passport Photograph
- White background only — coloured backgrounds are rejected
- Size: 35mm × 45mm
- Taken within the last 6 months
- Clear frontal view, no head covering (except for religious reasons for women)
- No shadows on face or background
- No glasses
3. Confirmed Return Airline Ticket
- Must show your full name as it appears on your passport
- Must include both outbound and return flights
- Ticket must be confirmed (not just booked/pending)
- Travel dates should align with your visa validity period
4. Hotel Booking Confirmation in Makkah
- Must show your name and passport number
- Must cover the dates of your stay in Makkah
- Booking must be in Makkah — hotel bookings outside Makkah are not accepted as the primary accommodation proof
5. Meningococcal ACWY Vaccination Certificate
- Must show the quadrivalent vaccine (not just MenC or other variants)
- Certificate must include your name, date of vaccination, vaccine batch number, and administering clinic's stamp
- Valid for 3 years from the date of vaccination
- If vaccinated more than 3 years ago, get a booster before applying
Additional Documents for Women
Women applicants must also provide:
- Mahram relationship proof: A document establishing the relationship between the woman and her male guardian (husband, father, son, brother). A marriage certificate (for wives), birth certificate showing common parentage, or a family register are accepted
- Women over 45 travelling in a group: A No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their mahram, confirming permission to travel with the licensed group
Additional Documents for Children
For applicants under 18:
- Birth certificate showing the child's name and both parents' names
- Parent's or guardian's passport copy
What Happens If Documents Are Incomplete?
If you submit your application with missing or incorrect documents, the processing team will contact you to request the missing items. This pauses your application and restarts the processing clock once you resubmit. In some cases, documents with serious errors (expired vaccination certificate, wrong photo background) will result in outright rejection requiring a fresh application.
