Document Preparation Tips
Follow these tips for a smooth, delay-free application:
- →Scan documents on a flatbed scanner for the clearest results. Avoid photographing with a phone on a table.
- →Ensure the passport data page is completely flat with no shadows or glare.
- →Name on flight tickets must exactly match the name on your passport.
- →Hotel bookings should be in the applicant's name, not a travel agent's name.
- →Prepare all documents before starting the application — you cannot save a draft mid-way.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to submit physical copies or digital scans?
For our online application, you only need to upload digital copies (scanned PDFs or high-resolution JPEG/PNG images). No physical documents need to be mailed to us or to the Saudi consulate. Your approved e-visa will also be delivered digitally.
What file format and size are accepted for document uploads?
We accept PDF, JPG, and PNG formats. Each file should be under 5MB in size. For passports, ensure the entire data page (including the machine-readable zone at the bottom) is visible and legible. We recommend using a scanner app like Adobe Scan, CamScanner, or Microsoft Lens.
What if I'm missing one of the required documents?
Contact our team before applying — we can advise on whether a document is strictly mandatory or whether an alternative is acceptable. In some cases, a declaration letter can substitute for certain documents. Do not apply without the mandatory documents, as this will lead to a delay or rejection.
What additional documents do women pilgrims need?
Women under 45 travelling with a mahram must provide proof of the mahram relationship (nikah nama for husband, birth certificate for father/son, etc.). Women over 45 travelling without a mahram in a group must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) signed by their mahram and notarised.
How do I share my documents securely with Nusuk Umrah?
All document uploads are encrypted with 256-bit SSL. Your documents are stored securely and only accessed by authorised personnel for visa processing. We never share your documents with third parties other than the Saudi authorities as required for visa processing. Documents are deleted from our servers after your visa is issued.
