Rejection & Appeals

Why visas get rejected and what to do if yours is

Why was my Umrah visa rejected?

The most common rejection reasons are: wrong or non-compliant photograph, passport validity below 6 months, name mismatch between documents, missing mahram documents for women, invalid vaccination certificate, previous immigration violations, or the applicant being on a Saudi blacklist. Saudi authorities do not always specify the exact reason for rejection.

Can I re-apply after rejection?

Yes, in most cases. Once you have identified and resolved the reason for rejection, you can re-apply. Do not re-apply immediately with the same documents — the application will be rejected again. First understand why it was rejected, fix the issue, then re-apply.

What is the Saudi blacklist and how do I know if I am on it?

The Saudi blacklist is a list of individuals banned from entering Saudi Arabia due to previous immigration violations (overstays, criminal offences, illegal entry). If you believe you may be on the list due to a previous issue, contact us before applying — we can advise on the steps to resolve a potential ban.

How do I appeal a visa rejection?

There is no formal appeal process for Umrah visa rejections in the same way there is for some other visa types. The standard approach is to resolve the reason for rejection and submit a new, corrected application. If you believe the rejection was in error, contact us and we can attempt to escalate the case with the relevant authorities.

Will a previous rejection affect future applications?

A single rejection due to a fixable issue (wrong photo, expired certificate) typically does not permanently affect future applications once the issue is resolved. Rejections due to blacklisting or immigration violations are more serious and may affect future applications. Each case is assessed individually.

How long should I wait before re-applying after a rejection?

Once you have resolved the reason for rejection, you can re-apply immediately — there is no mandatory waiting period for most rejection types. However, do not rush to re-apply without fixing the underlying issue. A second rejection on the same grounds can complicate future applications.

Can a wrong photograph cause rejection?

Yes. This is one of the most frequent rejection triggers. Saudi authorities are strict about photograph standards: white background only, recent photo (within 6 months), full face visible, no sunglasses, no headwear (except religious headwear), correct dimensions. Always use a professional photo service and specifically request a Saudi visa photo.

What should I do if I was deported from Saudi Arabia in the past?

A previous deportation is a serious matter and may result in a travel ban. Do not apply without consulting us first. Contact us via WhatsApp with the details of your previous situation. In some cases, a ban can be lifted through a formal process, but this varies case by case.

What happens to my money if my visa is rejected?

Our refund policy depends on the reason for rejection. If all documents were correct and Saudi authorities rejected for reasons outside our control, we issue a full refund. If the rejection was caused by a document issue on your end, we review on a case-by-case basis. Full details are in our Refund Policy at nusukumrah.com/refund-policy.

How do I know the exact reason my visa was rejected?

Saudi authorities do not always provide a specific rejection reason. However, our team can often identify the likely cause based on your application and documents. Common indicators include: a rejection shortly after submission (often photo-related), a rejection after a longer review period (often identity or blacklist check), or a rejection with a specific code (which we can interpret). Contact us and we will review your case.
